Why you need your own car scanner as a car owner

As a car owner, you need at least a basic auto diagnostic tool to help you have the first hand knowledge of your vehicle, even before you call a mechanic. 
When an original diagnostic tool detected a fault on your vehicle, it will suggest some ways and steps you will take to fix that problem. 

If you're connected to Internet, it'll link you to video tutorials of how that particular problem is being solved.

What does this means to you?
  • You reduced your repair cost,  when you have the first-hand knowledge of your vehicle, your calling a mechanic is to just tell him what he'll help you do, already, there's no need for further diagnosis,  he/she will hardly lie to you as a means of extorting  some extra money from you 
  • You'll hasten the work as you're going straight to where the fault is, there'll be no need for trial and error.
  • When you earlier diagnose an early check engine light,  it'll  be easier for you to solve it, preventing the faults from escalating to  other parts of the car.
  • This is also a preventive maintenance to keep your engine from malfunctions that will shorten it's lifespan.

You don't  need any technical training to operate a simple scanning tool, just plug in, connect it, read out the codes, type the codes into the web browser,  from there you'll know the root cause of your problem and some suggestions on steps to take towards fixing that problem. Launch Creader diagnostic tool 
This is my favourite diagnostic tool,  because it's very detailed and very simple to use. Launch Creader comes in different ways, depending on their diagnostic capacities. 

Launch Creader 319 is for:
  • Obtaining data trouble codes
  • Freeze frame data
  • Data Stream reading 
  • Clearing codes 
  • Resetting maintenance lights and so on.
It's very reliable, you don't need to fear about battery,  as it's powered on as soon as it connected to your car. Get your own here
