Stop and Check your brake
Like every other system of the vehicle, brake is the most vital area that you should not overlook. As acceleration is important, deceleration to stop is also important.
The following parts are taken into consideration when doing brake inspection
- Check brake lining wears
- Check brake fluid level
- Check Rotor thickness
- Check condition of hoses and brake lines
- Check brake and dash warning lights
A properly operating brake system helps ensure safe vehicle operation and control under a variety of driving conditions. Ensure to check your braking system, at least once a year.
If your car is pulling to one side, left or right, or if you hear odd noises when you apply a brake, inspect them.
Other warning signs are:
- Illuminated brake warning light
- Brake grabbing
- Low pedal feel
- Vibration when you apply it at high speed
- Hard pedal feel
- Squealing
